Half Marathon Training - Week 1

Three years ago, I ran what I thought was my last half marathon.  I had run a couple before (I say I've run four total but I can only remember three sooo.....), and I was over the training days and long runs and corresponding workouts so I'd decided going forward, 10k's would be my limit.

Then last Monday, I signed up for a half marathon this coming September.

It started with a quick conversation with a friend who had entered a lottery to run a marathon next year, and my curiosity about whether I could do it again; whether I could put my body through the training required to not only run 13.1 miles in 4 months, but also PR from my previous runs.  

This was Week 1. And as easy as it was, it was hard. I found myself running 2 miles wondering how the hell I'd ever get through 13.  But I think I can. I know I can. I've done it before and I'll do it again.
